Set on an acre next to Yankee Lake and on the top of the West Shawangunk Ridge in the scenic Catskill Mountains. The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a super comfortable memory foam queen mattress and the second room has a full spring bed with an equally comfortable quilted mattress topper. Each bedroom has a spacious closet. There are 2 full bathrooms, one located upstairs and the other downstairs. The upstairs has an extra deep bathtub great for long baths while the downstairs has a newly renovated glass shower. You can look down on the first from the second floor landing. Stay cozy by the wood burning stove in the living room with a 3 seater sofa and a large arm chair. The high ceiling and open layout make the home feel very spacious and airy. The kitchen is newly renovated with stainless steel appliance and a dishwasher. In the dinning room the table can seat 4-6. It leads to sliding doors with a small patio and two outdoor arm chairs. This spot is perfect a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening. A favorite spot is the reading nook next to the living room. Surrounded by windows, it's easy to curl up with a book and drift off for an afternoon power nap. From spring to fall, the property is just about spending as much time outside as it is inside. In an area to the right of the home is a landscaped section with chaise lounges, outdoor poufs, and a portable fire pit. This area is great for tanning, reading, relaxing or roasting marshmellos. To the left of the property by the porch is a large outside dining area with table seating for 6. There is also another fire pit with seating. On the lawn near the edge of the woods is a Buddha statue, an ideal place for some meditation. If you walk 5 minutes down the end of the road you will reach the entrance to Yankee Lake. It's a year round lake. In the summer it's perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, tubing, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. In the winter there is ice fishing and ice skating. Note that there are no gas motor boats allowed on Yankee Lake which means it maintains its pristine quality all year round.

This 1908 Victorian farmhouse is very private - it sits across the road from the native Pine Kill trout stream and just 2 miles from the Basha Kill nature preserve. There is plenty to do nearby if you like the outdoors (x-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, birding). The house has a salt water pool (open May through Sept), perennial and herb gardens, country kitchen, steam room, ping pong and a bath for each bedroom. Perfect place to unwind. The master bedroom is downstairs and has a king bed. Also downstairs is a den/family room with sleeping nook and sleeper couch that can sleep a few extras in a pinch. There is a main living room, kitchen and eating area downstairs, as well with sliding doors that open to a back patio/pool area with barbecue and outdoor eating areas. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. One room has 2 twin beds and bath en suite. The other room has a double bed with bath across the hall. THIS DESCRIPTION IS FOR BOTH BARN AND BOATHOUSE. The overflow barn is a beautiful companion rental to the Boathouse Lake home (listing number #614720- more pictures there!) Rustic elegance in a natural setting, the Barn affords guests the following accommodations. The barn does not have a kitchen, so our gorgeous Boathouse and rustic Barn are rented together for large parties of more than 6 people and for up to 16. You will find serenity here, even for larger groups. Our property sleeps 16 guests total, 12 in barn, in addition to the 4 Boathouse guests. BARN: 1 large private room in barn with king bed, cable TV, and lake view porch Great room with 4 Stickley bunks, & 1 Queen pull-out couch Queen sized bed in semi-private loft space, 1 bathroom, pool table, washer and dryer, television (w cable) in large bedroom room, without cable in bunk room to be used with computer connection for movie viewing. BOATHOUSE: 1 private room w king bed and sitting area 1 office loft with 360 views of lake and marsh, comfy pull out couch 1 queen pull out in large great room 1 single couch in great room 1 full bathroom 1 outdoor shower Both the Barn and the Boathouse include wireless internet. PRICING ADJUSTMENTS: Barn and Boathouse dual rental is $1,200.00 per night for 10 guests between the two. For each additional guest over 10, we add a $100 per night fee. There is a maximum of 20 guests on the property, between the Boathouse and the Barn. WEDDINGS/EVENTS - PLEASE NOTE: I will consider events on property, it is lovely for family reunions and weddings in the amphitheater. However, please note that there will be an additional event fee. Weddings start at $5,000 for the venue, depending on the number of guests you wish to have, and proper insurance is required. Only serious inquiries, please. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS: My property manager will greet you, get you settled, and answer any questions you may have. Though my private residence is next door, it is off limits to renters and is usually not occupied when guests are enjoying their stay (however, during the summer months, myself or my family members may be present). We also have a campsite on our property, located approximately a half a mile around the lake from the barn & boathouse, which we rent out on the Tentrr website. Please note that this campsite may be occupied during your stay. We don't expect much interaction between the two sites, but we do asks that our guests respect each other's time and privacy so that everyone may enjoy their stay. Or, catch the bus at Port Authority which lets you off in Wurtsboro - just a 15 minute cab ride away. Schedules are New Jersey transit for the train, and Short Line for the bus. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: This property is unlike any other just 90 minutes from New York city. This campsite is off-the-grid, offering the chance to relax, unplug, and experience nature! There is no electricity or WiFi, and cell service is hard to come by. You'll have the entire campsite to yourself, as you'll be the only Campers enjoying this piece of paradise. We also have a variety of huge store nearby like Home Depot, Wal-Mart and ShopRite. Also we have Casino and Horse Racing that is next exit you can go to. Our area is famous with small and large Flea Markets that are very interesting places. Another entertainment is Bowling Club and Movie Theater that is right at the corner of our property.
